Success of the trust so far
The Compass Charitable Trust has enabled us to support many local societies and clubs as well as individuals in need since its conception in 2016.
In 2018, we made a donation to local team, The Old Catton Tigers, an under 10’s youth football team.
Working as a volunteer, coach and manager Simon Powell was solely reliant on both fundraising and the support of local business to provide football to the children of his community.
Through the support of Compass, the team were given the opportunity to purchase a new kit and training equipment which Simon says “naturally the children were extremely excited to be presented with.”
The Old Catton Tigers had a lot of ‘on the field’ success last season, winning a local cup competition in addition to a fair play award of which they are extremely proud. Manager Simon adds that the Compass Charitable Trust donation means that “the children are able to continue playing the sport they love, of which I am most grateful.”
