James joined Compass in August 2023 as a Paraplanner.
James has worked in finance since 1985, when he joined Lloyds bank. He moved to Norwich Union (now Aviva) and dealt with commercial mortgage arrears and achieved his level 5 Institute of Credit Management diploma whist there.
He has since worked for a couple of IFA practices and obtained his Diploma in Financial Planning with the CII. After Covid, James spent 2.5 years as a tree surgeon before returning to Financial Services. At Compass, James focuses on technical research and preparation of our suitability reports, as well as assisting with some compliance duties.
In his spare time, James enjoys time with his family and his three dogs (and the occasional bit of hedge or tree work!)
